BAGG*FISH Strikes back!

This unique improv-noise power duo featuring Michael Fischer on tenor sax and feedback -and your truly on drums-  will play for this tour with a special guest: Vinicius Cajado on double bass.
We've been invited to play this year's edition of ArtActs Festival in St Johann (A) on Sept. 4th , at Fluc in Vienna on Sept. 8th and at Zajkert | Noice Garden Museum of Modern and Contemporary Arts in Debrecen (H) on Sept. 10th.

We will also enter the recording studio amidst the tour.

My trio Badenhorst/Baggiani/Celano have just recorded new material with a very special guest: Wolfert Brederode on piano.

please check these two beautiful videos of the recording session:

The material will come out April 2021 under Challenge Records.
We would like to thank the Bimhuis and Sena foundation for supporting this joint-venture!

"The amalgam of styles and the genre-bending are characteristic of this group of musicians. Musical categories are abandoned and boundaries overruled.
Surprisingly, pianist Wolfert Brederode has been added to the trio.
This is remarkable ... the ECM artist is a breed improviser who holds up tightly within this remarkable combo. His contributions are adventurous and effective "

Talking about recordings:

After more than 25 years of playing, recording and touring together among different groups and constellations, Natalio Sued and I have made our 1st duo album, an explosive new album from the guts of the pandemic period, hopefully coming out in at the end of this year through El Negocito Records.

The Ambush Party  is about to record in studio their Broken-Cumbia repertoire (indeed half Party-half Ambush)

The Ambush Party are: Natalio Sued on tenor sx, clrnt and vocals; Oscar Jan Hoogland on piano and shouts; Harald Austbö  on cello and vocals and yours truly on drums and moos.

During these pandemic/cloistered times I decided to build up a BandCamp page presenting my releases that were not available to download otherwise. (also few of my colleagues, why not?)

Renewable is the name and this is the link:

I hope you enjoy it!

Slowly, the concert possibilities are opening up...
